Design Challenge 1 – Shape Vector Drawing & Motion Graphic
This design challenge was to create a vector file by accurately drawing the shapes over the template while matching the color to the reference image. For this artwork, I duplicated the suns’ rays around the circle shapes and drew lettering and face details using Adobe Illustrator's pen tool.

For the optional challenge, I created a motion graphic from the artwork completed in the previous challenge. This project tested creativity as well as ability to research and solve problems when working with the software application Adobe After Effects that I was vaguely familiar with.
Design Challenge 2 – Letterform Vector Drawing & Motion Graphic
For this Design Challenge I created a vector file of Alexander Girard’s signature using the pen tool. The challenge is to accurately trace the reference image in the provided template.

Design Challenge 3 – Vision Book
For this Design Challenge, I used InDesign to create a 10 page brand vision book that’s distinctly different from the original template book provided but communicates the same brand attributes. The grid was built to focus on image hierarchy and make each layout work cohesively over two page spreads.

Design Challenge 4 – Print, Radio & Video Campaign Design and Copywriting
This Design Challenge was to write copy for a print ad, 30 second radio spot, and video for Lucky Dog Rescue Orlando. Part of the challenge I gained the most from was writing the copy and finding the right amount of words to fill and fit within the print space and 30 seconds for the voice over narrator's pacing. Special thanks to Amanda Ayao for lending me an awesome professional radio voice for this project!
Design Challenge 5 – Earth Day Event Street Lamp Banners
This Design Challenge was to combine text and imagery to communicate an Earth Day event on outdoor street lamp banners. In a pop-art style, I used a posterized globe drawing over 4 brightly colored textured backgrounds. The text for the event was kept towards the bottom of the design to put it closer to readers on the ground looking up.
Design Challenge 6 – Earth Day Margaret Mead Quote Motion Graphic
This week’s Design Challenge revisited the Earth Day theme by adding sound, motion, and text animation in After Effects. My concept was to create an animation edited to the rhythm of music I chose to match the look. Thanks again to Amanda Ayao for the voice over work.
